Membership Terms

1. Membership Description

A1cHero is a consumer subscription membership that helps members organize manufacturer cap card and savings programs, monitors pharmacy transactions to verify cap card discounts are applied correctly, and provides limited gap assistance for qualifying out-of-pocket costs. A1cHero is NOT health insurance, a health plan, a bank account, or a healthcare provider.

2. Membership Tiers & Fees

A1cHero offers three membership tiers: Wallet ($12/month), Basic Support ($45/month), and Plus Support ($80/month). Membership fees are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3. Gap Assistance (Support Tiers)

Basic Support and Plus Support members may receive up to $50 per month in gap assistance for qualifying out-of-pocket costs that exceed or fall outside cap card program pricing. Gap assistance is not a routine monthly payment — it is available when a qualifying event occurs. Assistance is provided via a virtual pharmacy card restricted to pharmacy purchases. A1cHero reserves the right to review and deny support events that do not meet membership criteria.

4. Member Balance

If a Support tier member does not use their gap assistance in a billing month, $20 rolls over into their Member Balance at the next billing cycle. The Member Balance is an internal membership feature, not a deposit account, savings account, or cash equivalent. It can be applied toward qualifying diabetes-related costs within the platform rules. Balance entries expire 12 months from accrual. An active membership is required to use or apply the balance. Balance is frozen upon cancellation and unfrozen upon reactivation. Balance cannot be withdrawn as cash under any circumstances.

5. Transaction Monitoring

With your explicit consent, A1cHero monitors pharmacy transactions via Plaid to verify that manufacturer cap card discounts are being applied correctly. Plaid is used in read-only mode for transaction monitoring only — never for payment initiation, money movement, or accessing data unrelated to pharmacy transaction verification. You may revoke this consent at any time from your account settings.

6. What A1cHero Is Not

A1cHero is not health insurance, a health plan, or a healthcare provider. It does not promise comprehensive cost coverage, underwrite risk, process drug or medical claims, or provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The membership fee is not a premium. Gap assistance is not a covered benefit. The Member Balance is not a savings account. Always verify program eligibility directly with the program provider and consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.
