Embecta spun off from BD Diabetes Care in 2022; BD branding still appears on older packaging. Through 2026, Embecta donates ~15M units/yr of pen needles and syringes to Direct Relief, which routes them to 1,600+ community health centers across all 50 states. Secondary pen-needle pathway: directrelief.org/issue/diabetes (helpingpatients.org URL only covers the PPA syringe pathway).
