I'm John, a Type 1 diabetic from Minnesota. I built A1cHero because I got tired of watching people I know — and myself — pay too much to manage diabetes.
I was diagnosed at 16. At 26 I aged off my parents' insurance and got hit with the math: insulin, sensors, pump supplies, test strips, copays, deductibles. The programs that could have cut those costs were scattered across manufacturer sites, state hotlines, and PDFs nobody had told me about. Most people never find them.
A1cHero exists so the next person aging off a plan — or losing a job, switching states, or just tired of paying too much — doesn't have to figure it out alone. With or without insurance, there are programs for almost everyone. We want to make sure people actually get to them.
All the programs you qualify for in one place — matched to what you take, with exact instructions for the pharmacy. We don't sell your data. We don't take a cut of your savings.
